Paris 7

Paris, September 24th

sunny 18 °C

Today we slept in until nearly 11 o’clock in the morning. It was great to relax a bit because we have been super touristy lately. We got croissants fresh from the oven for brunch from a boulangerie nearby called Mani.

Finally we got up and went to Galeries Lafayette which is a very popular French shopping centre. Galeries Lafayette is full of designer fashion brands. I had a croque monsieur and a strawberry tart for lunch.

When we had done about an hour of browsing at Gallery Lafayette we went to another shopping mall called “Printemps”. At Printemps we got some very good macarons. I got a rose, lychee and raspberry, my brother got a passionfruit and chocolate macaron, my Dad got a coffee and orange macaron and my Mum got a plain pistachio one.

Afterwards we met up with my friend Natalie at her hotel. We went back to Primtemps but this time we went to go see the roof terrace on the ninth floor. We shared a gold chocolate éclair, it was really nice, she also got a lemonade filled with bits of gold. We had a great view of the city from the roof terrace.

We went down to the first floor to visit a luxury toilet, it was really disappointing because it cost 1.50 euro but just like your typical toilet at home, but had coloured toilet paper.

After our shopping experience we had dinner again with my friend and her family at the same place as two nights ago.
